Our Doctors
Faez Faruqi, MD FRCPSC FACOG GREI
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Faruqi’s expertise is in assisted reproductive technology and minimally invasive Gynecological surgery. A graduate of Université de Montréal, he currently teaches Gynecology at McGill University. He has also worked in the United States and at Procrea Fertility in Montreal. Dr. Faruqi founded Gynesys clinic in 2004 and has served as its director ever since. Over the years, he has found effective and often innovative solutions for hundreds of couples. He recently moved his Montreal practice to Ottawa at CARE Fertility & Women's Health.
Tiao V. Kattygnarath, MSc MD FACOG GREI
American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Kattygnarath earned his Medical Doctor (MD) degree in 1997 from Universite Pierre et Marie Curie (France) and completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency, followed by a two-year Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Reproduction from the renowned Valencia Infertility Institute (IVI), with expertise in laboratory technology, andrology, embryology, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis and screening. Additionally, he is certified in Biostatistics from the University of California, San Diego.
A Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada, Dr. Kattygnarath also holds the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate (USA). He serves as a Fertility Expert for the College of Physicians of Quebec and a Supervisor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Dr. Kattygnarath is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with over 20 years of experience in fertility treatments and gynecology. He is the author of The Handbook of Assisted Reproductive Technology and Infertility.
Fluent in English, French, and Thai, Dr. Kattygnarath brings a global perspective to his work. His early experience as a Buddhist monk has profoundly shaped his compassionate approach to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, including the emotional complexities of fertility care.

Deana Saleh, BScN RN, Clinic/Nurse Manager
As a Clinic Manager, Deana brings nine years of dedicated experience in the field of women’s health and infertility, along with three years of management expertise. A proud honours graduate of Western University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program, she specialized in women’s health and infertility—a passion that continues to drive a strong commitment to this vital area of healthcare.
In addition to an academic foundation, Deana holds three advanced certifications from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, reflecting a dedication to staying at the forefront of this evolving field. Patient care is regarded not merely as a responsibility but as a privilege and a calling. Deeply valuing the trust patients place in the team during what is often one of their most emotionally challenging journeys, she draws inspiration from witnessing their resilience and being part of their path toward building families.
Believing that exceptional patient care extends beyond clinical excellence, Deana emphasizes creating an environment rooted in empathy, understanding, and unwavering support. Advocating for a holistic approach to infertility treatment, she recognizes that addressing the physical aspects of care is only one part of the equation. By integrating mental, emotional, and lifestyle factors into care plans, patients are empowered to navigate their fertility journey with greater clarity, strength, and confidence. Government-Funded Fertility Treatments
We are pleased to offer government-funded fertility treatments through the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). This ensures that all Ontario residents have access to essential fertility services, including one cycle of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and related procedures, making family-building options more accessible for everyone. Our team will guide you through the process of qualifying for and utilizing OHIP-funded treatments.

For your convenience, Care Fertility offers the option of Virtual Care in accordance with the rules of the Ontario Ministry of Health and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario:
- New patients can be seen In Person or via a video call (on a secure server). No phone call is allowed for new patients.
- Follow-up appointments can be done In Person, via a video call (on a secure server) or via a simple phone call.
- If no procedure or physical exam is needed, we highly suggest booking a video call or a phone call.
- Video calls can be done with your desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone, with Microsoft Teams. If not done yet, we highly suggest you to download and test Microsoft Teams before your appointment.
