At our Early Pregnancy Clinic, we provide comprehensive care and support during the critical early stages of pregnancy. Our goal is to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and the developing pregnancy while offering expert guidance and compassionate care. Below is an overview of the services we offer and those we do not provide.
Services We Offer
Confirmation of Pregnancy: We confirm pregnancy through blood tests (measuring hCG levels) and high-resolution ultrasound to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
Follow-Up of Pregnancy Progression: We monitor the proper evolution of early pregnancy with serial blood tests and ultrasounds, ensuring everything is progressing as expected.
Diagnosis and Prevention of Miscarriage: Our team specializes in identifying risk factors for miscarriage and providing preventive care to support a healthy pregnancy.
Medical Treatment of Miscarriage: We offer medical management of miscarriage using Mifegyne (Mifepristone) and Misoprostol, ensuring a safe and effective process.
Surgical Treatment of Early Miscarriage: For pregnancies under 7 weeks, we provide surgical management (Dilation and Curettage, D&C) when necessary.
Chromosomal Analysis of Miscarriage: We perform chromosomal analysis on retained products of conception to help identify potential genetic causes of miscarriage.
Diagnosis of Ectopic Pregnancy: We use advanced diagnostic tools to identify ectopic pregnancies early, ensuring prompt and appropriate care. Medical Treatment of Ectopic Pregnancy: When indicated, we provide medical treatment for ectopic pregnancies using Methotrexate. Diagnosis and Prevention of Recurrent Miscarriages: For patients experiencing multiple pregnancy losses, we offer thorough evaluations and tailored treatment plans to address underlying causes.
Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT): We provide NIPT as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy, offering insights into chromosomal abnormalities and the option to determine the baby’s gender.
Services We Do Not Offer
While we strive to provide a wide range of early pregnancy care, there are certain services we do not provide:
Medical or surgical elective abortion for non-medical reasons.
Surgical treatment of late miscarriage (D&C for pregnancies over 7 weeks).
Surgical treatment of ectopic pregnancy.
3D ultrasound of the fetus.
Anti-D immunization (Rhogam).
Referral Beyond 12 Weeks
Our clinic specializes in early pregnancy care, and beyond 12 weeks of pregnancy, patients will be referred back to their referring physician for continued care. If required, we can also facilitate referrals to an obstetrician or a high-risk pregnancy specialist to ensure the best possible care for both mother and baby.
